OLED monitors update

We have updated the OLED monitors article (yet again) to bring you the latest news we have [source] regarding LGs OLED plans for the near-future. LG plans to release a 31 inch OLED TV, in limited capacity, by March 2011 at an estimated (by us) retail price of around £4000 ($5000). Looking beyond 2011 and into 2012 LG should have their generation 5.5 OLED production plant up and running – this is expected to produce OLED screens for portable devices but also their ‘IT line’ (i.e. computer monitors). Around the same time Samsung should also have their gen 5.5 OLED plant up and running for similar purposes.
